Yes, I am obsessed with this show.  Real Housewives has hit the news again.  This time for some sad news.  Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Kandy Burress, announced on twitter that her ex-fiancee, AJ was killed in a club brawl.  Apparently she had announced in August that they had broken up.  Then just yesterday AJ was involved in a fight at a club he owned and sustained massive head injuries.  He passed away soon after.  My heart goes out to Kandy.  She must be really hurting right now.

Also in the news was Real Housewives star, Bethenney Frankel.  Rumors have been circulating that she is leaving the show after this next season and getting her own spin-off.  Well yesterday it was confirmed that she is in fact leaving and they have already found a new socialite to take her spot, someone named Sonja Morgan.  I am curious if she gets her own show.  I always really liked Bethenny.

I figured you might want something to cheer you up after hearing all this sad news.  How about a little Tardy for the Party.

Well another six months has gone by and it is time for another “bump watch” alert. But before I move on to that, has anyone noticed that the stars seem to be having babies in quantity a lot more often. Seriously, how many celebrities have had twins recently. See: Marcia Cross, Angelina Jolie, Rebecca Romijn, Jennifer Lopez, Julia Roberts, Dixie Chick Martie Maguire, Geena Davis … A doctor told US magazine that the chance of having fraternal twins at Angelina’s age, 33, naturally is under 1 percent. Now, while Jolie has admitted that they increased there odds by in vitro maybe a lot of female celebrities, more than are willing to admit, are using fertility drugs? A lot of celebs are having kids later in life and may want to increase their chances of getting pregnant.

Who Popped:

• Cate Blanchett has a son named Ignatius Martin. Hopefully the baby will get its looks from Mommy.
• Halle Berry and boyfriend Gabriel Aubrey had a daughter named Nahla Ariela Aubry. That sounds like the name of one of the cubs from The Lion King doesn’t it.
• Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony had their twins finally (she looked as though she was ready to get those things out of there). Their names are Emme and Max.
• Christina Aguilera and Jason Bratman had their little boy, Max Liron Bratman in January.

Who has the bump:

• I actually haven’t heard of any bump watches lately. I think America is busy watching the ones that have already confirmed they are expecting. Speaking of …

Who is Expecting:

• Clay Aiken’s female friend, Jaymes Foster is going to give birth to their baby this year. I thought this was a pretty strange story. He seems very young to be sperminating friends already. Don’t worry Clay, you will find a good man someday to have a baby with.
• Everyone can’t wait to see Pete Wentz and Ashley Simpson’s child this October. And John Mayor, Jessica’s Ex is the godfather?? Weird.

• Rebecca Romijn and husband Jerry O’Connell are having their first child children together. They announced this month that they were expecting twin girls.
• Jennifer Gardner and hubby Ben Affleck are expecting another addition to the family soon. The couple already has a daughter together, Violet.
• Amy Poehler, from SNL, and her funny husband, Will Arnett are having their first baby together.
• Matt Damon and wife, Luciana are expecting another bambino. This is the third child for them: Daughter Isabella was born in June 2006, and Luciana has a 9-year-old daughter, Alexia, from a previous marriage.
• Adam Sandler and his wife Jackie are expecting their second child.
• Jenna Jameson is finally expecting with boyfriend, Tito Ortiz, a UFC fighter. She has been open about wanting a family in the past.
• OK. Who else did I miss … Gwen Stefani, Minnie Driver, Gillian Anderson, Caroline Rhea, Lisa Marie Presley, Busy Phillips, Angie Harmon … Geez.

Update: Apparently Angie Harmon is not pregnant, according to husband.

Since it is the beginning of a new year I thought I would take a sec and quickly reflect on the years most notable celebrity nuptials and break-ups.  Isn’t the new year about beginning exciting new chapters in our life after-all.

Top 10 Break-Ups of 2007

• Hulk Hogan and Linda Hogan - They were married for 24 years but did what it suicide for any celebrity’s marriage… they starred in their own reality TV show. Most surprising is that poor Hulk found out from a reporter who called him for a comment. You would think after 24 years a woman would have a little more heart.

  

• Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams - I think this break-up disappointed people because we all seemed to believe that they were exactly like the couple in the Notebook. Apparently we were wrong.
• Dylan McDermott and Shiva Rose - I don’t really think anyone knew that this happened but I have to make note of it because he is on my list on “Men I Would Make Out With That Are Old Enough to be My Dad” list.
• Hayden Panettiere and Stephen Colletti - They are barely adults so they already have moved onto their next major romances. Hayden is coupled with her co-star Milo (lucky chick) and Stephen is making out with Lauren Conrad??? Lauren you are a celebrity… you can do way better than this guy that dissed you in high school.

  
  

• Shaq and Shaunie - If Shaunie really has a thing for giants she is going to have a little trouble getting her next date.
• Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams - Did anyone see them on Oprah? I never saw such a cute couple. Even co-star their from Brokeback Mountain Anne Hathaway seemed disgusting by their glowing happy faces. I didn’t see this one coming.
• Kate Moss and Pete Doherty - Luckily, Amy Winehouse jumped into the spotlight because with these two broken up I thought we were going to miss all of the messy, drug-induced drama they brought us.
• Johnny Knoxville and wife Melanie - Can you blame her? He spends his time doing things like shooting himself out of a cannon, watching a horse masturbate or running around Hollywood in a diaper. I am sure she just had enough.
• Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz - It seems like such a long time ago that they split. He was such a hot commodity after that break-up that he spent all of three seconds single before the starlets pounced.
• Drew Barrymore and Fabrizio Moretti - Poor Drew. She always finds love but she just can’t make it last. She admits 5 years was her longest relationship.

• Scott Baio and girlfriend Renee - Anyone who watches “Scott Baio is 45 and Single” got a kick out of him marrying his now very pregnant girlfriend. I will probably watch season two to see how it went down. I know… I am lame.

  

• Pamela Anderson and Rick Solomon - This seemed like a weird match when first mentioned but then it sort of seemed to fit. He is the skanky guy that sold sex tapes of himself with Paris Hilton and she is the skanky girl who banked on sex tapes of herself.
• Tobey Maguire and girlfriend Jennifer Meyer - They have the sweetest looking baby. Hopefully by marrying a non-celeb they will be able to maintain a happy life.
• Kate Walsh and movie exec, Alex Young - They were engaged a mere 4 months before they got married. Sometimes it just seems to happen.
• Usher and Tameka - This was an interesting wedding because the day before it set to happen Usher called it off because his Mom refused to come. Apparently Mom can’t stand her daughter-in-law. They rescheduled when the Mom could be there and had a do-over.
• Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O’ Connell - Another couple that is so sweet together it makes onlookers want to throw up.

  
  

• Eva Longoria and Tony Parker - I think everyone would be really happy for Eva if she wasn’t talking about Tony, getting pictured with Tony or generally being obsessed with Tony all of the time.
• Mel B and Stephen Belafonte - The only reason this marriage stood out this year is because Mel dated Eddie Murphy and had his baby right before.
• Amy Winehouse and Blake Fielder-Civil - This couple never disappoints.  He is in jail for trying to pervert the course of justice in relation to an assault on a bartender and she is a mess right now.
• Brittany Murphy and (writer/director) Simon Monjack  - This couple hadn’t known each other very long before getting married.  There are rumors that this guy is bad news and Brittany has been engaged twice before.  The public is surprised that the relationship has lasted as long as it has.

About six months ago I wrote about how Hollywood had become baby obsessed and the bump watches had started hard core. It hasn’t stopped. As soon as a tabloid has reported someone has popped there is new celebrity they are watching clutch their bag to their belly. So it is time to recap again. Here is the lowdown…

Who Popped:

• Sacha Baron Cohen is just had a baby with his ever expanding fiancé , Isla Fisher. I was a little worried about her because she had gained the weight of another adult person during pregnancy, but it seems she is back to her cute self already.
  
• Helena Bonham Carter had a girl with husband Tim Burton. This is their second child.
• In November Elisabeth Hasselbeck gave birth to a baby boy with husband, Tim. She also has a daughter.
• Salma Hayek gave birth to a baby girl this year as well.

Who has the bump:

• Is Kat Von D. from LA Ink preggers? Who knows and who really cares. I doubt this rumor is actually true since it has been reported by Perez Hilton but never got any confirmation.
• It was briefly rumored that Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban were having a baby. Turned out that the rumor was false. Oh well.
• Jennifer Aniston pregnant? I didn’t even know she was dating anyone. The rumor is that she has been dating Sex & The City actor, Jason Lewis. He is very good looking but I also thought he was gay. I guess not.
  
• Is Posh having her fourth child with David? Can you believe she may go for a fourth?! She is a baby making machine!

Who is Expecting:

• Jamie Lynn Spears , younger sister of Britney Spears is having a baby. The Nickelodeon star is 16 and her live-in boyfriend is 19. That is statutory rape in most states! What mother lets their 16-year-old live with her boyfriend. This must be the rationalization of a celebrity mom? She should get parent-of-the-year with her two girls. Hopefully 2008 doesn’t become the year for teen pregnancies because a popular kids TV stars have stupid parents.

  
  

• Nicole Ritchie is about ready to pop with Joel Madden’s baby. I think we are all surprised that a) this couple is still together and b) her body has been able to sustain a pregnancy because she was a toothpick.

• Jessica Alba has confirmed that she is pregnant with her new fiance Cash Warren’s baby. They just got engaged over Christmas. Men everywhere everywhere are disappointed to hear that she is not only going to lose her good looks but she is finally committing to her on-again-off-again boyfriend.
• After swearing all over the place that she wasn’t pregnant, Jennifer Lopez came clean and is now showing off her very very large belly. She wasn’t going to be able to hide that for long. Can you imagine how big her butt must be under that dress right now? I am sure she will be perfect after the birth again.
• This was interesting … Chris Noth, Mr. Big and Mr. Non-Commitment of Sex and the City, and girlfriend Tara Wilson, are expecting their first child. She looks very young compared to him.
• Christina Aguilera will be delivering in 2008 as well. She has got to be one of the best looking pregnant women ever. She always look cute and put together. I hope when I have a baby I look so good.
• Cate Blanchett confirmed that she is pregnant with her third child. Her and her husband writer/director Andrew Upton, already have two sons: Dashiell John, 5, and Roman Robert, 3. They are going to have a busy household.
• I was more surprised to find out that Halle Berry was 41 than that she is pregnant. She looks absolutely amazing and I would have never guessed she was over 40.

A friend mentioned to me one day that I don’t add as much celebrity gossip into my website as I used to. With all of the gossip sites out there sometimes I feel as though I am repeating what has already been printed a thousand times. But I do try to share the interesting little tidbits that I find and others may not know about. Here are two little fun facts that I learned from reading the Parade section in the newspaper…

For My Soap Fans:

Eva Longoria has been married twice. She has most recently married San Antonio Spurs basketball star Tony Parker but she had been married previously in 2002 to soap actor Tyler Christopher. That is right ladies, Nikolas Cassadine on General Hospital. The marriage only lasted two years. Tyler moved onto dating his co-star Natalia Livingston (Emily Quartermaine) and is now engaged to this girl.

For My Movie Buffs:

Everyone knows Jack Nicholson is a great actor but not many people know about how interesting his life is. Jack was raised believing his grandmother was his mother when in fact it was his “older sister”, June. He didn’t know his father. The truth was revealed to him at the age of 37 when a Time magazine researcher uncovered the truth while preparing a story on the star. Despite that he is overall happy guy with love affairs producing 5 children! He also claims that he “looked back on [his childhood] as an ideal upbringing.”
