A Handmade Gift Can Show You Care
Christmas has passed once again and I am trying to enjoy my last day off from work before going back to the grind. We had a really nice quiet holiday with all of our family. Today I have been lounging around in my slippers putting away all of the lovely gifts I got from friends and family this year. I feel like a very spoiled girl! Everything I got was so thoughtful. One of the things I received was a handmade heated neck pillow from my sister. It was beautifully made and smells divine! I appreciated so much that she took the time to make me something herself. It showed me how much she loved me.
Handmade gifts are great because …
they are fun to make. I would much rather start a cool craft project than give someone a gift card any day.
the people you give them to always appreciate the time and effort you put in. My sister-in-law and I were just saying the other day how at a certain age it feels like you are swapping gift cards with your friends for the holidays. Gift giving doesnt mean as much as it used to when we were younger. When someone puts in the time to make you something you feel special and loved.
they usually can be done on a tighter budget. My sister said all of her handmade gifts she made this year cost her a third of what she usually spends on Christmas and she had a lot of fun making them in the process.

Here is a fun idea for handmade gift for a girl … Make a charm bracelet or necklace with Davinci beads from Coppin’s Gifts. You can make a pretty personalized gift while still saving a little bit of money. Maybe try using a friend’s birthstone to create a sparkly bracelet or for a younger girl a fun charm bracelet with charms of her favorite things. They have an assortment of sweet dangling charms from ladybugs to starfish that any young girl would find fun. A great gift for a Mom is a bracelet with a family charm featuring a charm for each one of her children. You can make jewelery as elaborate or as simple as you like, fitting anyone’s style.
Did you get any handmade gifts for Christmas that you loved?
