Donuts That Don’t Make Your Ass Fat

holey_donuts.jpg

iVillage sent me an email today telling me about donuts that are Holey Donuts,“zero trans fats, very low total fat (only 3 to 4 grams of total fat per donut vs. 20 grams of fat in other donuts!)”. Isn’t that an oxymoron? How is that possible? People must have been curious because Holy Donut’s website was down the rest of the afternoon.

Holey claims that …

  • There is no greasy aftertaste
  • They don’t add artificial sweeteners or fat substitutes
  • Their cooking process avoids deep frying so they are light and fluffy

They sound horrible! But people are claiming they taste just as good as the fatty ones. I think this passionate donut eater says it best.

To order a dozen of these delectable treats they are a whopping $23.95 which is pricey. But here is the kicker… to ship them to Florida it was an extra $17.80! Damn. But it appears that is the only way you can treat yourself. I guess I will wait until Starbucks carries them.

I have heard of these, zero trans fat, little fat, oh, and little to zero taste! I’d be curious to try them though, but not at that price. I will wait as well!

WOw! Healthy donuts, i Agree, it is absolutely an oxymoron, does that make me a moron for wanting to order some up right now? Well considering my budget and the shipping charges I think I will wait :)
