Sorry that I have been lazy about posting over the holidays. My days have been busy with sleeping in, Christmas shopping and stuffing my face with sweets. But now the end of the year approaches and we can begin to recap. Here are my top 10 celebrity splits in 2006…

1. Jennifer Aniston & Vince Vaughn – We all cheered when Jennifer repaired her shattered heart and went to the arms of funny man Vince. I guess it wasn’t all laughs.  She is single again. Brad, how could you?
2. Hilary Duff & Joel Madden – The only reason anyone cares about this is because they dated for two and a half years and she was a virgin the whole time. This made Joel look like a prince (one that can’t sing or play an instrument but a prince no less). Then he leaves her for the second runner up for skank of the year – Nicole Richie!
3. Pam Anderson & Kid Rock – Really if anyone is shocked about this or even really cares than you are even lamer than I am.
4. Christie Brinkley & Peter Cook – This was one of the years most highly publicized break-ups because Peter Cook was a big fat adulterer.  It was a wake up call to every girl- guys will even cheat on a supermodel.  Sigh. 
5. Britney Spears & Kevin Federline - They got a lot of undeserved attention for this.
6. Ryan Philippe & Reese Witherspoon - At least they were mature and had tried counseling before splitting for good. They even happened to have a pretty clean split for two Hollywood celebs.  It has been rumored that Ryan cheated but Reese never said.
7. Carmen Electra & Dave Navarro – These two freak-shows got tired of competing for attention.  Obviously we can see reality TV shows don’t nurture a healthy relationship either.
8. Kate Bosworth & Orlando Bloom - They have been on-again off-again for so long that I don’t think anyone cares about this one.
9. Kate Hudson & Chris Robinson  - They seemed like such a down-to-earth couple that I don’t think anyone predicted this break-up.  Then she bounced back so fast with Owen Wilson we all made a little gasp.  Chris is acting like a grown-up about the whole situation though.  Maybe Owen, Chris & Kate will hang together like Ashton, Demi & Bruce.
10. Paul McCartney & Heather Mills – I don’t know why everyone cares so much about this one either.  I really don’t.
